These streaking, unsightly black stains are actually Gloeoca Magma, which is algae growing on your roof. These hardy algae will shorten the life of your roof by loosening the granules which make up the surface of the shingle. The algae can also increase energy bills in the summer months as it is even even darker than the shingles, and it draws in more of the suns heat.

A & J Power Washing's roof cleaning system is a safe "No Pressure" method. We don't even turn the pressue washer on. Our "Safe Cleaning Process" removes those unsightly black streaks, mold, mildew and other fungus. This process will leave you with a "Like New" appearance. We use only Asphalt Roofing Manufactures Association (ARMA) recommended chemical solutions.
